Neuro-marketing

Brain researchers took images such as cola, a ford truck, a dog, etc in front of a volunteer's eyes. When people say something they liked it increased their "activity in the medial prefrontal cortex". Are purchases are made not by the size of the product or the taste of it but its how it relects our self-image. Wahlberg is telling us that machines that peer into the brain like an MRI should not be used for by Burger King, Ford or etc to get people to but more of their product. An executive director of Commercial Alert says that "It's wrong to use medical technolgy for marketing and not for healing." Meaux says that the standard marketing approach doesn't help companies understand the true desire of its customers like neuromarketing does.
