What is an artist?

I think the words artist is synonymous with "master of his craft," except that artists involve some kind of aesthetics. If I draw a stick figure am I an artist? Anyone that has seen my stick figures would tell you absolutely not. Is Leonardo Da Vinci and Michaelangelo artists? Mona Lisa would set ya straight if you said otherwise.

Well, this is the start of an ongoing project that I talked to Trey about.

I'm leaving this completely open for a big mix master blog type thing, who knows.

Please, go ahead and post your opinions, comments, etc.

The point of the "portal", was to create a relation of a word, to a sentence, to a category, to a subject. The "portal" does not stop here, the links keep coming and the images follow closely behind. Change the subject, alter the subject, add to the subject, do whatever inspires you. I for one am definitely going to keep adding on to this, as time goes by. I have a lot more I want to say, but the words and images just haven't come together properly. So I will be hitting the board again in hopes of solving these problems and continue posting. My hope is that this will be come a never ending project..

Awesome project, Vic! I love following the different linking paths,

and, you use the wiki space well by dividing the project into a series of screens, the force of each image registers more completely
